A gunman has killed at least 32 people at the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University campus in Blackburg, Virginia. Various processions and ceremonies are planned to commemorate the victims.

On Easter Sunday, April 17, Christians celebrate the resurrection on the third day after the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. It also marks the end of a 40-day period of meditation known as Lent. Easter is considered the most important season of the Christian year.

Actor Will Smith has been banned from the Oscars for 10 years

Will Smith will not be allowed to attend the Academy Awards for the next 10 years, as a result of slapping comedian Chris Rock on stage during this year’s Oscars, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences announced in a statement on Friday. Smith released a quick, concise statement about his ban from the Oscars for the next decade: “I accept and respect the academy’s decision,” the actor said.

Finalists in the Billboard Music Awards

The finalists for the 2022 Billboard Music Awards have been announced. The Billboard Music Award (PPMA) honors the most successful artists of the year in 62 genres of all genres. The Weekend is leading the finalists in 17 categories. The Leading Female Final is the Doja Gate, which has 14 categories including Best Artist, Best Female Artist and Top 100 Artists. As a finalist for the first time, Olivia Rodrigo also landed very well in 13 divisions. The awards ceremony will be broadcast live from Las Vegas on May 15.

CMT Music Awards

The 2022 CMT Music Awards, hosted by singer Kelcia Ballerini and actor Anthony Maggie, will air live on CBS Monday night at 8pm ET from Nashville. The show features performances by Kane Brown, Cody Johnson, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Down, Maran Morris and Ryan Hurt, Carly Pierce, Cole Swindel, Lynne Wilson and Keith Urban.

2022 Masters Golf Tournament

Overnight leader Scottie Scheffler sits under nine at the finals of the Masters this morning. Scheffler, the newly crowned world No. 1 player, has a three-shot advantage over second-placed Cameron Smith. Five-time Masters champion Tiger Woods made a significant comeback by carding the 71-year-old in the opening round on Thursday, starting tomorrow in a seven-over draw for the 41st-ranked tie. This year’s Masters winner will go home with $ 2.7 million and the popular green jacket.
