AMD’s soon-to-be-released Radeon RX 6950 XT flagship graphics card will be the most expensive graphics card if the initial listings are to go through. This card, which is part of the RDNA 2 update GPU line, is listed by an Australian retailer at a price similar to NVIDIA’s RTX 3090 Ti cards.
The AMD Radeon RX6950XD graphics card is just as expensive as the Nvidia RTX3090 DIP, priced at $ 2400 USD
The AMD Radeon RX 6950 XT graphics cards are expected to be announced soon, and we now see retailers listing them. Gigabyte seems to work on its own custom model, the RX 6950 XTGaming OC, which is listed for $ 3241.54 AUD or just over $ 2400 USD. This price is very close to the custom models of the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti graphics card and the $ 1200- $ 1000 AUD difference between the custom RX 6900 XT models listed by the same retailer. Now that this is a preliminary list, as the new card gets closer to the street release, we will definitely see a much lower price, but for now, expect the same price.

AMD Radeon RX 6000 XT RDNA 2 Graphics Card Update
AMD Navi 21, Navi 22, & Navi 33 GPUs will be updated for the upcoming Radeon RX 6X50 XT line. The AMD Navi 21 GPU currently drives the Radeon RX 6900 XT, RX 6800 XT & RX 6800, while the Navi 22 GPU RX 6700 XT and Navi 23 GPU run the RX 6600 XT & 6600 operating system on the desktop. Graphics cards come with 18 Gbps memory with some clock upgrades.
From the previous rumor, we learned that these cards will also feature 18 Gbps GDTR6 Memory Dice. Currently, all the cards except the upcoming RX 6500 XT & Flagship RX 6900 XT LC feature 16 Gbps memory die. Pumps up to 18 Gbps can provide higher bandwidth and increase efficiency by 2-5%, but this does not mean a big difference with the updated series. As we have heard rumors of the RX 6950 XT clicking above 2.5 GHz, some process improvements have been incorporated in the new RDNA 2 update GPUs.
It would have been useful if AMD had given 6nm treatment to its current desktop GPUs and was able to get higher performance from them but that clearly did not happen. It looks like this sleek update will feature both ‘Midnight Black’ and custom model designs.
There will also be a small price difference and TGP numbers are expected to increase slightly with the addition of faster memory chips. These GPUs will compete with Intel’s high-end ARC Alchemist GPUs, and in a few months the Radeon RX 6950 XT flagship will be targeted at NVIDIA’s RTX 3090 Ti graphics card.
The following table shows all the RDNA 2 graphics cards currently offered by AMD:
