Eight months after defeating welterweight legend Manny Pacquiao, WBA Champion Jordanis Ugas will make his debut today (Saturday, April 16, 2022) against the co-ordinated WBC / IBF titlelist Errol Spence Jr. at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

In August 2021 Ugas achieved the biggest success of his career, stepping into the short notice to defeat incomparable Pacquiao (see highlights). That evening he stepped up to Spence, but with “The Truths” eye fully adjusted, it was time to be crowned three-belt champion at 147 pounds.
Lightweight Browser Isaac Cruz’s faded star on the show’s PPV main card will be a complete slug with hand in hand with faded star Uriorgis Kambova, unbeaten Jose Valenzuela former champion Francisco Vargas and Cody Crowley Josacito Lopez.

IBF / WBC / WBA “Super” Welderweight Championship: Errol Spence Jr. vs. Jordanis Ugas
First round: Both begin to clear the body. Spence tries a combination. No man has ever done so much. Spence is looking for a body shot. Halfway through. He is busy with two by his job. The opposite body was shot from Ugas. Spence Body Combo, Ugas on the right. Good body shot to Ugas lands and one left at the exit. 10-9 Ugas.
Round Two: Early jabs from Clinton, Clich. Ugas sneaks down to a right. Spence pizzeria so far in this round. Sends 1-2 seconds. The right hand catches Spence as he exits. Again. 1-2 half for Spence. They trade body footage inside. Big lead from Ugas. Spence dug a left down. Hard overhand left. Clinch. Spence’s long combo creates some body shots. 10-9 Spence. 19-19.
Third round: Spence tries to the left, with some decent work inside. Ugas countered with a body shot. Good transfer, heavy left from Spence to Ugas body. The large overhand separates the left and a top cut guard from Spence. Body shots, Ugas’ right hands in response. More looping left of Spence. Halfway through. Ugas warned for pushing his head down, and soon landed on one arm. Spence responds with a series of body shots. Ugas Left Hook, good infighting from both. Spence splits the guard to the left, and Ugas returns with the combo. Big overhand rights are attached to him. Spence marked his body in response. 10-9, 29-28 Spence.
Fourth round: Spence continues to be exciting in both. Good transmission in the center ring. Short top cut land. High-low double left. Spence maintains good physical activity. Ugas tries to respond during breaks or gets into big exchanges, but Spence’s sheer performance gives him all sorts of problems. Halfway through the infighting from Spence. Warning for low feet. Trade jabs, tight hook lands to Ugas. Body scenes are attached. Ugasin also good physical activity. He worked well late in that round. 10-9 Ugas in a swing round, 38-38.
Fifth round: Heavy body shots from Spence to begin with. Spence once again controls the speed of movement and descends properly to the body and head. Excellent physical exertion and a top cut on the back. Cut another thin top on the inside. Halfway through. Spence chews him from forehead to forehead. Ugas tries to answer. Body shots and top cuts pile up for Spence. In response Ugas tore a bottom right. The top is a decent combo and the top is on the right. Counter Uppercut. Spence with another body shot and uppercut. 10-9, 48-47 Spence.
Round Six: Spence comes back inside and goes to work on the body. Ugas is a hell of a game but Spence capitalizes on it at close range. Ugas’ firm rights knock out Spence’s trumpet; ref seems to be stepping in, but no, allowing Ugas Spence to explode by 1-2. Now they pause to retrieve his trumpet. Halfway through. Spence has a tough series from Ugas after he put it back in the pocket and went slow. Ugas responded with a kind of good uppercut. 10-9, 58-56 Spence.
Round Seventh: Spence chips following close range. He puts a lot behind these body shots. The good Uppercut seems to hurt Ugas and Spence tries to push, but refuses to try to win. Spence’s harsh shots around the guard. Halfway through. Ugas’ eye was not in good condition. Ugas seems to have a knack for him, but Spence continued to march and tore through the middle. Ugas responded with a kind of heavy combo. Spence hit him on even closer shots until Bell hit him. 10-9, 68-65 Spence.
Eight rounds: Uppercut and body shots continue for Spence. Ugas retreats down the nasty. Ref steps to warn Spence once again to lower feet. Spence is actually looking for murder through these scenes. Halfway through. Visce Lets from Spence. Tears head and body. Ref stops in the middle of the Spence compound to examine Ugas’ swollen eye. Ugas clearly understands everything, but Spence brutally pulls him back. Leave the hard guard around. Ugas is coming back superimposed. 10-8 Spence without a Knock Down, 78-73.
Round Nine: Ugas is as brave as hell but at this point it is a demolition job. Spence does not stop throwing and landing full-power shots on the head and body. Ref paused to warn him to lower back. Clubbing hooks from Spence. More than half the hooks. The hard right side of the body from Ugas attracts Spence’s attention, but he returns to the attack. Both tear the body. Ugas shows little life, and now he is warned of low blows. Solid right upstairs. 10-9, 88-82 Spence.
Ten rounds: Trading in the middle range, now right hook from Spence. The sharp top cut seems to hurt Ugas and Spence constantly follows him. Upper right through Ugas in response. Halfway through. Once again Ref stops fighting so that the doctor can see Ugas’ eye, this time they move it exactly.
Final result: Spence def. Ugas by TKO (Doctor Stop)
